Feb. 23 (Bloomberg) -- Australia plans to introduce tougher visa checks for visitors from countries linked to terrorism, the Australian Financial Review reported, citing a counter-terrorism white paper to be released by the government today.
The plan will require some travelers to submit fingerprints and facial images which will be crosschecked against terrorist and criminal databases, the newspaper reported.
The white paper will also warn that the threat of homegrown attacks is on the rise, the Review said.
